Cameron M. Shay joined the gallery in 1983 and directs GRAHAM’s sculpture program. He worked closely with James R. Graham, a respected authority in the field of 19th and 20th century American and European sculpture, who shared his vast technical expertise with Shay. Under Cameron’s direction, GRAHAM is one of the few galleries in the United States where scholars and collectors can expect to find the museum-quality work that has long been its specialty.

Priscilla Vail Caldwell has been with the gallery since 1996. She has carried on the tradition of Robert C. Graham, Sr. in pursuing the reevaluation of important American artists, such as Kimber Smith, Walter Gay, and Guy Pene du Bois. Priscilla possesses a wide breadth of knowledge that allows her to exercise her expertise in historical American painting while spearheading a strong contemporary program.

Our directors share a passion for Post-War and Contemporary art, and for this reason our contemporary program occupies the bulk of our exhibition schedule. The contemporary program includes established and emerging American artists such as abstractionists Mary McDonnell and John Zinsser and figurative artists David Fertig and Ken Aptekar. In addition to contemporary painting, we also represent contemporary sculptors and ceramists.

GRAHAM remains committed to fostering growth in its contemporary department while maintaining its position as a world-class dealer of museum-quality sculpture, American paintings, and British ceramics. We welcome all inquiries regarding consignment of works of art or estates and are willing to provide appraisal services.
